Mount Vernon Cherry Tree

In 2003, Mount Vernon had to remove several trees from the property to clear the way for the construction of the new educational and visitors center. This included two black cherry trees that grew on the grounds here at George Washington's home, among many other species. Historical Woods of America is fortunate to have the remains of these classic American trees.
